Overview

A multi-episode true-crime series re-examining one of Israel’s most controversial murder cases, weaving archival footage, interviews, and legal analysis.

Objectives

  • Build a coherent multi-episode investigative structure.
  • Balance new revelations with emotional depth.
  • Maintain tension without resorting to sensationalism.
  • Handle sensitive legal and ethical material responsibly.
  • Integrate multiple timelines and conflicting testimonies.

Contributions

Investigative Spine
Shaped the narrative so each episode closes a question while opening a larger one, maintaining momentum across the entire season.
Multiple Perspectives
Intercut conflicting testimonies, police records, and media coverage to expose contradictions without forcing a simple resolution.
Tone and Restraint
Used pacing, music and silence to keep the emotional core present while avoiding sensationalised representation of violence.
Legal Clarity
Worked closely with the directors and legal advisors to translate complex legal material into a clear, cinematic storyline.

Outcome

The series reached a wide audience, sparked renewed public debate over the case and contributed to a broader conversation about the justice system and media responsibility.
